Welcome to our new monthly newsletter! : Lillington Juniors FC Latest News

With just a few short months left of the 2017/18 season, we thought it was the right time to introduce you to our new monthly newsletter!

It's been another excellent season at the football club, with so many new players joining and being given the opportunity to play football every week. It really is great to see so many children smiling at coaching sessions and matches while playing the sport they love.

Since our formation in October 2013, our football club has grown from just 6 children at the first coaching session to currently over 250 children and 22 teams, including two senior teams and three girls teams, making us the fastest growing football club in the Midlands and the largest football club in the local area! This is down to many things including our club's ethos of never judging player's abilities and our fantastic group of voluntary coaches!

Ultimately our continued growth is down to you as parents, who recognise and support the type of pressure-free environment we have created for young players, together we can continue to ensure your child's footballing journey through their childhood is an enjoyable one where they will make friends for life!

You may or may not be aware, the football club is a full time job for Ryan, Jodi and I, we work non-stop throughout the week to ensure the club continues to thrive and to ensure we can offer more and more opportunites for young players to play football; no other club in the local area can say they have the same level of commitment.

With so many exciting plans for 2018 and beyond, our newsletter will keep all parents updated with the latest information from the football club; we will also be sending out emails about specific events and offers. With this in mind, we would encourage parents to remain subscribed to this newsletter so you don't miss out on any important information which we will announce via email.

We want to take this opportunity to address a misconception regarding our membership fees. We haven't increased our membership fees for three years, despite facility/insurance costs etc increasing, as we want to try and make football as inclusive as possible for all, however we must stress that our ever-increasing expenditure is not covered by membership fees alone and we rely VERY heavily on fundraising events and funds/grants to ensure our football club is sustainable.

Despite our club's rapid growth, the support we have received for fundraising events from parents at the football club has not seen a similar increase and we believe this is down to a lack of communication from ourselves; this newsletter will ensure ALL parents are aware of our events, plans and 'goals'!

We hope the above information goes some way in to seeing an increase for support at our fundraising events throughout the year.

As always, if you have any questions or ideas please either contact myself, Ryan or Jodi at and we will get back to you.

Kind regards,
