Following the announcement last night confirming the latest national lockdown, which starts today, it was confirmed that all grassroots football is now suspended.
This means that the following football at LJFC is suspended with immediate effect:
- Team coaching sessions & matches
- 1-to-1 sessions
- Goalkeeper coaching sessions
- FA Wildcats Centre (introductory football for girls 5-11)
- Little Magpies (Reception & Year 1 football)
While we are deeply disappointed that our young players will have yet another period without football, we fully support the decision in the hopes that the infection rate significantly reduces as it did during the first national lockdown.
As the vast majority of our coaches did over the summer, we are confident that they will once again continue to support the players in their teams through weekly Zoom calls, quizzes and other football-related activities to keep their players engaged and active, while giving their players the opportunity to still come together and see each other, albeit virtually.
We will be updating parents in due course regarding fees for January and February.
In the meantime, we hope you all stay safe.
